Quick Copy is a utility
screen which allows the end-user to pick and
choose a report or range of reports to be file transferred from the host system to a
directory/file on the PC. Unlike
other third-party utilities that run from the command prompt and
is managed by the IT department, this utility is controlled by the
end-user. The Quick Copy screen incorporates
Precision 2000 screen security and is easily accessed via a '99'
screen or trans-link. This is an ideal solution for diverting files from the host print queue to the
end-users' control. Quick Copy can also be used for historical
archiving purposes, allowing the user to select, copy, and store individual reports
or combine a number of reports into one file (ie. combine GL reports by
department) for storage and/or printing from their own PC.
"Thank you very much!
This is working perfectly from
what I have tested thus far. Many thanks! The utility is extremely
useful and will be used frequently. I would suggest you pass this
utility along to the other clients you work with who are using TPA;
this is a major convenience, not to mention the time it
saves."

Select the reports to be copied by entering the Report Name
(ie. APR020), the User Name (ie. GLASSMAN), the Job
Name (ie. DLY020J), or the Job # (ie. 1243). The user
can then enter C + Line# (ie. 'C1' to 'C10') to copy
individual reports to their PC, or they can combine multiple
reports into one report and automatically transfer it to their
PC.
Entering ID# '11' will mark all the
reports for selection, even reports not shown on the first screen
load. The user can then un-mark the reports they do
not want by selecting the line# and entering a blank or 'N' in the
SEL field. The user always has the option of manually
marking individual reports.
Entering ID# '12' allows
the user to concatenate and copy all marked reports to the PC as
one report file.
